Bullying
Bullying will not be tolerated. Our classroom will be a safe environment for everyone. If you currently are being bullied or feel like you have been bullied in the past, online, in another class, at home, or anywhere - please feel free to tell me, another teacher, counselor, or a caring adult. Your voice is important and needs to be heard.
I care about you as a person and a student. You are important to society! I know first hand how rough and challenging middle school can be mentally, physically, and emotionally - I have been there. I want to remind you that I am not just here to teach you math, but I am here to help you and listen to you.
Definition:
Bullying is aggressive unwanted behavior that involves a power struggle or imbalance. Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, harassing, attacking someone verbally or physically, excluding someone on purpose, posting something online, or anything that makes the person feel uncomfortable.
Together we can stop bullying. If you think you or a friend are a vicitm of bullying, tell someone. By not speaking up we are letting the bullies win. Remember, violence is never the answer.
STAND UP - SPEAK UP!
